Spotlight on Gratitude

One of my favorite essential oil blends from Young Living is Gratitude. I’d like to share the details of this beautiful fragrance with you. I’m sure you remember that I encourage everyone to keep a daily Gratitude Journal. It’s a great addition to starting or ending your day!

“This delightful blend is designed to elevate, soothe and bring relief to the body while helping to foster a grateful attitude. It is also nourishing and supportive to the skin. The New Testament tells us that on one occasion Christ healed 10 lepers (Luke 17:12-19) but only one returned to express his thanks. This blend embodies the spirit of that one and only grateful leper.”*

*Essential Oils Desk Reference, Third Edition, Compiled by Essential Science Publishing, 2006

Gratitude can be used topically or diffused/inhaled. Click here to purchase (once on my YL website, scroll down to My Products; you'll find Gratitude under Popular Essential Oil Blends).

Ingredients:
Idaho Balsam Fir, Frankincense, Coriander, Myrrh, Ylang Ylang, Bergamot, Northern Lights Black Spruce, Vetiver, and Geranium.

Wishing all of you a lovely Thanksgiving holiday!!

Fall Allergy Help

Suffering from seasonal allergies? Essential oils may help!

With fall allergies upon us, let's talk about how essential oils might help with your seasonal symptoms. (These suggestions may also help if you are sensitive to animal hair, feathers or dust mites.)

Usage:
Diffuse your choice of oils for a 1/2 hour every 2 hours or as desired. At night, set the timer on your diffuser.

No diffuser? Put 2-3 drops in your hands and rub them together, cup your hands over your nose and inhale as needed. Or put 2-3 drops on a cotton ball and place in an air vent in your house, car or hotel room.

You may also apply oils topically, avoiding the eye areas. Oils can always be applied to the soles of the feet, and will travel through the body within 20 minutes; using the Vita-Flex method can enhance the results.

Please contact me for more information or to determine the best oils for your needs.

Back to School with Young Living

It’s that time again. Get your kids ready for school with some great Young Living products.

Add a few basics to their backpacks:
Thieves Waterless Hand Purifier and Thieves Spray help keep hands and surfaces clean. Roll-ons are easy to use and don’t take up much room; throw in Tranquil for sudden bouts of stress; Deep Relief for small injuries, aches and pains; and Thieves to help fight germs.

Older kids studying hard? Apply or diffuse ClarityBasil or Peppermint to stay focused and alert. Motivation may help to start a busy day.

Did you know there’s a Young Living product line devoted to children? It's called KidScents, and it includes EO blends, personal care products and nutritional supplements.

At the end of the day, to promote relaxation and a good night’s sleep, apply or diffuse Lavenderor Peace and Calming.

Finally, are you, the parent, feeling overwhelmed trying to keep up with all the activities?  Try En-R-Gee! It just might be the boost you need to make it through the day.

What did I miss? What are your go-to products for students of all ages?

More Young Living Beauty Products

Last month we discussed the ART line of facial care products from Young Living. This month, I want to introduce you (or re-introduce you) to the many products that have been around much longer.

Some of my favorites include Wolfberry Eye Cream (formulated with wolfberry seed oil) and Essential Beauty Serum (a blend of essential oils that can be added to your moisturizer or used directly on your face and neck).

Other EO’s you may want to add to your current products include:

I also love Sensation Hand & Body Lotion and Coconut-Lime Replenishing Body Butter  both are rich and creamy and smell divine! And the Lavender Volume Shampoo and Conditioner is gentle on your hair while increasing volume.

These are only a few of my many favorite personal care products. Do yourself a favor and check out the entire line!

All about ART (Age Refining Technology)

If you’re like me when I first joined Young Living, you may only be using essential oils and blends. Guess what? They have SO many other products!

Today I want to introduce you to their beauty products. I love the
Age Refining Technology (ART) line. This line is wonderful! It “safely and effectively cleanses, tones, and moisturizes your face to bring out your natural and inherent beauty.” Designed for every skin type, the line creates an effective and natural skin care regime that’s easy to follow – there are no harsh chemicals here!

Items in the ART line include a gentle cleanser, a refreshing toner, a light moisturizer, an intensive moisturizer, a renewal serum, and Sheerlume, a brightening cream. The cleanser, moisturizer, and toner can also be purchased as a set. The line also includes a beauty mask and an ultra-moisturizing creme mask.

And you don’t have to use the products as-is…you can customize the products to your specific needs by adding additional essential oils. Check out the chart below:

Spring is the perfect time to give your skin some extra attention as it gears up for the heat of summer. The Young Living ART line of products will certainly help with an overall spring refresh. Next month, I'll introduce you to some additional Young Living facial care products.

Understanding the VitaFlex Technique

Did you know there’s a very easy way to enhance the use of your Young Living essential oils?

It’s called the VitaFlex Technique, and it's part of the Raindrop Technique developed by Dr. D. Gary Young, founder of Young Living. (Although he may have been the first to combine the technique with essential oils, the term was coined by Dr. Stanley Burroughs and is based on ancient Tibetan reflexology.)

When you research what essential oils may be beneficial for an issue, it is often suggested that you apply the oil to the corresponding VitaFlex points on the feet. VitaFlex is, quite simply, rolling the fingertips from pad-to-tip-to-nail. The motion creates an electrical charge and, since essential oils also have an electrical charge, it increases the benefits of the application.

I found two short videos that show the technique in detail. Since spring is upon us and many suffer from allergies, I am including one that not only describes the technique but also shows how to VitaFlex the sinus points on the face. Sinus VideoVideo

I hope you’ll add this simple technique often when using your Young Living essential oils!

Happy Spring!

A CBD solution you can trust with Nature's Ultra

I had heard rumors that CBD oil/Young Living products were in the works. I’ve been using CBD massage oils with some of my clients who have pain issues, so this was good news. I received this blog from Nancy Sanderson this week introducing a new line from Nature’s Ultra. If Young Living agreed to work with their products, that’s enough endorsement for me! I’m pleased to share her blog with you this month.

A CBD solution you can trust with Nature's Ultra
CBD Infused With Young Living's Vitality Essential Oils With Nature's Ultra Products

Every ingredient has a story. Every formula has a purpose. At the heart of Nature's Ultra is the notion that CBD shouldn't have to do all the work by itself.

We've carefully aligned each of our formulas with a select and potent supporting cast of natural ingredients and essential oils so that our products deliver unrivaled purity and performance.

All-Natural Ingredients
From the hemp we use to our proprietary CBD formulas, we only use all-natural ingredients in our products. Available in All 50 States, our products can be shipped to any state in the USA. Vegan Approved. Our CBD products do not contain any animal byproducts and we've made a commitment to our customers to never do any animal testing. Gluten Free & Non-GMO (Scientists, consumers and environmental groups have cited many health and environmental risks with products containing GMOs. Our entire product line is organically and naturally cultivated.)

Infused With Young Living Essential Oils
CBD and essential oils are perfect companions-but not all essential oils are created equally, and we want the very best for you. We selected Young Living Essential Oils because, like us, they're committed to pure, high-quality products. In fact, their Seed to Seal quality commitment and its three pillars - Sourcing, Science, and Standards - are more rigorous than any other we found.

Not only is Young Living the world leader in essential oils, but they've also pioneered the modern-day essential oils movement for 25 years and provide more than 600 essential oil and essential oil-infused products to more than 6 million households across the globe. Now, for the first time ever, you can experience Nature's Ultra CBD infused with Young Living essential oils!

What is Reiki?

What is Reiki? I am asked this often, so I’d like to answer for those of you who may not be familiar with this form of self-healing.

The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei, which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki, which is "life force energy." So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy." Simply put, it allows the client to tap into and direct the healing force of the Universe, or God, to help restore balance and harmony. It can affect the body, mind and Spirit. The Reiki practitioner provides assistance in accessing this energy, but the client is totally “in charge of the session” (usually in a subconscious manner as there is no “effort” needed on their part).

Sessions are almost always very relaxing, and they can provide relief from a variety of issues: physically, mentally, emotionally or Spiritually.

Who is the Reiki Practitioner? The ability to use Reiki is not “taught.” Instead, it is passed through attunements from a Reiki Master Teacher to the student to enhance access to the Universal Life Force Energy, which can improve health and one’s quality of life. It is available to everyone, including people of all ages, plants and animals. You can also use it on yourself!

Reiki is not a religion or based on any specific beliefs. But from my personal experience, becoming a Reiki practitioner strengthens one’s Spiritual growth, whatever your faith or belief.

I hope this explains Reiki for you. If you have questions, please contact me. Here are some links you might find interesting for more information:
