Frankincense and Myrrh

There are many essential oils mentioned in the Bible numerous times. Let's find out more about the two most common ones.

Frankincense is considered “holy anointing oil” in the Middle East, and it has been used in religious ceremonies for thousands of years. It was well known during the time of Christ for both anointing and healing powers, and it was one of the gifts given to Christ at His birth. Frankincense was valued more than gold and only the very wealthy possessed it. It can be useful in physical, mental, emotional and spiritual situations and research is even being done to determine its efficacy in fighting certain types of cancer. Young Living offers both Frankincense and Sacred Frankincense.

Myrrh has been used for centuries by Arabian people for many skin conditions, including chapped or cracked skin and wrinkles. It also has been known to help physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

Frankincense and Myrrh are used in many Young Living blends and both are mentioned in the Ebers Papyrus, one of the oldest known medical records containing an ancient Egyptian list of 877 prescriptions and recipes dating from the sixteenth century BC.

Add these two to your essential oil tool kit today!!
